DATAGATE (Luxembourg) S.A. is a Luxembourg based company established in 2001. Since the foundation of the company, DATAGATE has seen a steady growth of its team to an increasing number of satisfied customers. The company is owned by the two founders, Jean-Paul Christmann and Marc Staudt, who build on many years of experience in the banking industry.

From the daily contact with managers of financial institutions over the last few years, DATAGATE came to realize that the financial industry was entering a new stage, one characterized by fully automated financial data management. Banks have to manage reference data, corporate actions and pricing data simultaneously. To support banks in tackling these challenge DATAGATE was established.

Many leading financial institutions already rely on DG Connect as a centerpiece of their data management strategy. Clients of DATAGATE benefit from the scalable and modular software as well as from the extensive, individual support services. The main goal of DATAGATE is to implement projects quickly in order to lower costs and to reduce the operational burden of a bank.

In the mid-size market DATAGATE sensed the tendency to outsource, focusing on business growth by reducing the costs of IT operations an development. With this need in mind DATAGATE's Application Service (D.A.S.) was created on top of DG Connect as an additional business solution with is currently being used by 18 European banks.

Access to the ASP is through the web, providing both secure ftp connections and a virtual private network (VPN) for intranet applications. The ASP service can also act as fully outsourced back-up solution for existing data management systems already installed in a bank.
